How to remove R1soft completely on Debian

Introduction

In this article we will explain how to completely remove R1soft backup client and repositories on Debian.

Step 1: Remove packages

We start with removing the installed packages:

sudo apt remove --purge r1soft-getmodule serverbackup-agent serverbackup-async-agent-2-6 serverbackup-enterprise-agent serverbackup-setup

Step 2: Remove stale files

Sometimes some files are left on the server, you can safely remove those files with:

sudo rm -rf /usr/sbin/r1soft/

Step 3: Remove repository

Remove R1soft repository with:

sudo rm -f /etc/apt/sources.list.d/r1soft.list
sudo sed -i "/r1soft\.com/d" /etc/apt/sources.list
sudo apt update

Conclusion

After following these instructions all R1soft related packages and the R1soft repository should be removed from your server.
