How do I change my credit card details for Auto-renewal?

Introduction

In this tutorial, we will explain how you can change your credit card (MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover card) details for Auto-renewal in your client area. Changing your credit card details that are linked to your auto-renewal is very easy. Please follow the steps below in order to change your details.

Step 1: Log in to your My.snel.com client area

Log in to your client area via https://my.snel.com/clientarea/.

Step 2: Remove your credit card

Navigate to Billing -> Credit Card 3DS  and click Remove Credit Card.

You will see a pop up where you need to confirm that you want to delete the credit card details.

Step 3: Pay one outstanding invoice manually with your new credit card details

In order to set auto-renewal with your credit card, you first need to make one manual payment with your new credit card. Please click to one of your outstanding invoices. If there is no outstanding invoice available make sure you do perform this action the next due date.

Now select Credit Card 3DS SCA from the dropdown and click on Continue.

After Credit Card 3DS SCA  is selected it will ask you to fill in your card details. Once the required information is filled click on Make your payment.

Step 4: Enable your Auto-renewal for your services

Once you have paid your invoice manually, make sure that you enable auto-renewal again via your client area.

Step 4.1:Auto-renewal for VPS

If you have a Cloud VPS / Managed Cloud VPS, navigate to Services -> Cloud VPS / Managed Cloud VPS -> ws1.example.com. In the dropdown menu click on Auto Renewal

Enable auto-renewal by changing - Disabled -   to Credit Card 3DS SCA via the dropdown menu and click on Save Changes.

Step 4.2: Auto-renewal for Dedicated Server

If you have a dedicated server navigate to Services -> Single Processor Dedicated Servers / Dual Processor Dedicated Servers / Managed Dedicated Servers / Storage Dedicated Servers / Budget Dedicated Servers -> ws1.example.com . In the sidebar menu click on Auto Renewal.

Enable auto-renewal by changing - Disabled -   to Credit Card 3DS SCA via the dropdown menu and click on Save Changes.

Step 4.3: Auto-renewal for Acronis Backup Cloud

If you have an Acronis Backup Cloud, navigate to Extra services -> Acronis Backup Cloud. In the sidebar menu click on Auto Renewal.

Enable auto-renewal by changing - Disabled -   to Credit Card 3DS SCA via the dropdown menu and click on Save Changes.

Step 4.4: Auto-renewal for Domains

If you have a domain, navigate to Services -> Domains -> example.com. In the sidebar menu click on Service Auto Payment.

Enable auto-renewal by changing - Disabled -   to Credit Card 3DS SCA via the dropdown menu and click on Save Changes.

Conclusion

Now that you have performed these steps, auto-renewal should be working with your new credit card details. Your invoice will be paid automatically if you have performed all above-mentioned steps correctly.
