What are the differences between the Plesk editions?
We often receive questions about the differences between the Plesk editions that we offer with our Web Hosting, VPS, or Dedicated Servers. We hope this article provides clarity.
At snel.com, we offer 4 different versions of Plesk; Web Admin, Web Pro, Web Host VPS, and Web Host Metal. There is a suitable version for everyone. With the help of this article, you can find the version that you need.
The Plesk editions we offer
Plesk Web Admin
This version is intended for web administrators who manage simple websites and domains for an employer, a business, or themselves.
Benefits:
- Limited to 10 domains.
- Simple website and domain management.
- No tools for resellers or extensive user management options.
Plesk Web Pro
This Plesk edition is intended for web professionals who build, secure, and optimize websites, often using WordPress.
Benefits:
- Support for up to 30 domains.
- Full WP Toolkit for mass management and automation.
- Tools for advanced user and subscription management.
Plesk Web Host VPS
This version is designed for traditional web hosters who use VPS and want to offer their customers more flexibility and control.
Benefits:
- Support for unlimited domains.
- Management of resellers and customers.
- Full WP Toolkit and other management tools for multi-tenant environments.
Plesk Web Host Metal
This Plesk edition is for web hosters who use dedicated servers and need maximum performance and security.
Benefits:
- Support for unlimited domains.
- Complete management package including tools for resellers, subscriptions, and advanced security options.
- Ideal for large-scale hosting companies needing extensive customization options and powerful server management features.

Limitations of the different Plesk editions
It is important to note that the Web Admin and Web Pro Plesk editions have limitations, while the higher editions offer the ability to add features. Additionally, each Plesk edition has a maximum number of domains that you can have.
The following options are not available and can not be added to the Web Admin edition:
- Reseller management
- Subscription management
- Account management
- Custom view management
- WordPress Toolkit (available in SE only)
The Web Pro Plesk edition has only one limitation, which is reseller management, the rest can be added optionally.
